In an effort to move forward with my career, I am going to refrain from blogging about my own experiences with breast and thyroid cancer. It’s been almost five years since I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and four years since I had a thyroidectomy for my thyroid cancer.  It’s time for Get Up Swinging to be solely about advocacy and doing what I can for those living with metastatic breast cancer, those like my mom.  I want to tell other people’s cancer stories, not mine.  Thank God, my cancer story is in remission, and I pray it remains this way for many years.
